Great work starts with great values. Fortscapes Solar is a family-owned and operated company founded by Josh and Lyndsay Fort in 2020. Our mission is to provide solar field vegetation management, ensuring that renewable resources like solar energy fields remain safe, cleaned, and operable. We quickly became a trusted partner for solar fields in the region with a commitment to quality, transparency, and community involvement. This growth led us to add residential solar installation and site work services to our offerings throughout Central New York.
Our Story
Fortscapes Solar is Josh and Lyndsay Fort’s answer to the growing solar industry in Central New York. We are just everyday people with a mission to bring dependability and honesty to a market that truly needs it. In 2020, Fortscapes Solar started out as a small vegetation management company working on solar fields, and since then it has grown into a trusted leader in residential solar installation, ground-mount systems and site-work.
Being a family-owned business, we take pride in doing things the right way. We are hard-working, respectable, and honest with our customers and their homes. We all share the same values, treating our work as though it was our own thing and it is in many cases out there in our backyard.
We keep our word, and that reflects in our work in Oneida and Syracuse, Utica, New Hartford, Clinton, Manlius, Chittenango, Verona, Sherrill, and more! If we say we’re going to do it, we do it.
We are continuously expanding our team. In this way, we help New Yorkers power their homes and community with cleaner and smarter energy solutions. We handle it all: rooftop & ground-mount solar installations, solar field vegetation management, and entire site work with pride and precision and the same passion the founders started with.
